About Us

WeVote is a nonpartisan get-out-the-vote nonprofit startup and a celebrated Fast Forward nonprofit technology grantee. WeVote is a movement of over 120 active passionate, part-time volunteers (starting with the founders) who build mobile technologies that will touch and mobilize millions of voters on Election Day. Role Overview

We are looking for a creative Graphic Designer to join our volunteer social media team. In this role, you will design compelling visuals that support WeVote’s nonpartisan voter education and GOTV campaigns. You’ll work closely with copywriters, project managers, and analytics leads to create graphics, templates, and social assets that are clear, accessible, and on-brand across platforms.

What You’ll Do

  • Concept and design social-first graphics, templates, and visuals that educate and inspire voter participation
  • Translate campaign briefs and copy into engaging content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X/Twitter
  • Adapt designs for multiple formats, aspect ratios, and accessibility best practices
  • Collaborate with copywriters, project managers, and analytics leads to ensure creative assets align with strategy and performance insights
  • Maintain and evolve WeVote’s brand guidelines and design systems for consistency across social media
  • Organize and version files for easy handoff and future use by the team
  • Ensure all creative complies with nonpartisan 501(c)(3) guidelines and platform policies

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in graphic design, preferably with a focus on digital and social campaigns
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with Canva or Figma a plus
  • Strong understanding of social media formats, design trends, and accessibility best practices
  • Ability to create simple motion assets (After Effects or equivalent) is a plus, but not required
  • Strong eye for visual storytelling and brand consistency
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with a distributed, volunteer-based team
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple deadlines and deliverables
  • 2+ hours per week during our core team hours M–F 8 a.m. – 6 p.m
  • You are currently located in the US
