Position Type: Contracted, temporary
Location: Remote - U.S. location preferred

Compensation

• The compensation is $25-40 per hour commensurate with experience
• This position is approved to be compensated for up to 60 hours per month based on the workflow and contractor’s availability

Availability

• The availability of work will vary week-to-week. Preference: a commitment to dedicate at least 15 hours per week to this work.
• Availability to attend up to 5 hours of paid training during IM’s normal business hours
• Estimated duration of the work: one year with the potential for extension into 2027

Summary

The Creative Services team at IM is seeking a contract production designer to support digital asset production. This service  focuses on applying the Illustrative Mathematics brand system across social media graphics, Salesforce (Pardot) email templates, Google Slides, and Google Docs. 

All work will follow existing templates and brand guidelines. No original design work is required. All production work will stem from established templates.

The contractor must have the ability to turn work around within two (2) calendar days of the request and maintain consistent, reliable communication to acknowledge receipt of work requests and submit the completed work.

Deliverables

Social Media Graphics

• Produce graphics using existing templates
• Apply correct typography, color, spacing, and layout based on the IM brand guidelines
• Format graphics for posts that highlight blog content, news articles, press releases, and job postings

Email Formatting 

• Transfer and format copy from Google Docs into approved Salesforce email templates
• Ensure consistent styling and layout (training for Salesforce Pardot will be provided as needed)

Google Slides and Docs professionalizing

• Clean up and standardize Google Slides and Google Docs
• Apply the IM brand system correctly for fonts, colors, spacing, and hierarchy

General Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines and instructions 
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign. 
  • Not qualified: programs such as Canva, Adobe Express, and Microsoft Designer
• Familiarity with optimizing graphics for web and social
• Experience working in Google Slides and Google Docs
• Experience working from templates or within an established brand system
• Preferred: knowledge of formatting emails in a CRM (Salesforce, Hubspot, etc)
