Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of CAPEX Implementation & Automation to lead and oversee our capital expenditure projects and automation initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient allocation of resources, timely project execution, and the integration of advanced automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive CAPEX strategies aligned with the company's long-term objectives, focusing on automation and technological advancements.
  • Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and completion of capital projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Automation Integration: Identify opportunities for automation within operations and oversee the implementation of advanced technologies to optimize processes and reduce costs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, finance, and other departments to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and select vendors and contractors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure project success.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with capital projects and automation initiatives, developing mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage CAPEX budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to financial plans.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in capital project management and automation within the manufacturing or industrial sectors, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of automation technologies, project management methodologies, and CAPEX planning.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Certifications: PMP, Six Sigma, or related certifications are advantageous.
