Sr. QA Automation Engineer

As a Sr. QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests to ensure the quality of software applications. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated test plans and cases, analyzing, and translating test results, and reporting any issues found. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test frameworks using Javascript, Cypress or Playwright framework.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of testing processes, as well as a proven track record of contributing to continual improvements in the QA process, optimizing resources to reach business project goals.

• Work with the development and cross functional teams to;
  • Ensure that all software is tested, released on time and meets the requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the development teams and clients as needed.
  • Monitor the progress of the development teams and provide feedback and guidance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve project issues both technical and non-technical in nature.
• Analyze and translate business requirements and user stories into automation testing scripts;
  • Reading and understanding the business requirements and user stories.
  • Identifying the key elements of the requirements and user stories, such as the expected inputs, outputs, and any other conditions that must be met.
  • Creating a test plan that outlines the steps needed to test the requirements and user stories.
• Work to automate regression testing during the product development life cycle including;
  • Develop and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts.
  • Perform manual and automated testing of software applications.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and ensure that any issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with develops and other stakeholders to ensure quality.
  • Develop and execute performance and scalable tests.
• Define application/page performance criterion in terms of load time, frustration time, etc.
  • Setting up performance metrics and thresholds that measure the performance of the application or page.

Technical Experience

• 3-5 years of professional experience in QA Automation process and testing methodology.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Azure and integrating automated tests into pipelines.
• Programing/Scripting with Javascript, Cypress or Playwright framework.
• Experience with application performance testing using JMeter or similar tools.
• Creating web-based Rest API tests (1-2 years min.)
• Experience with SQL and its uses with programming languages.
• Strong project management experience while working in an Agile methodology.

Additional Experience a plus!

• Nice to have experience with AI based frameworks like AccelQ.
• Working knowledge of vulnerability testing tools like Burp Suite, Veracode, Qualys, Nessus.
• Programming/Scripting with Browserstack and Appium.
